    Removing old unboiled linseed oil

The windows of my house are japanese oak. They were installed 60years ago and treated externally with unboiled linseed ol. Over the years this has blackened or browned into an ugly mess which is very difficult to remove. I would like to strip all windows on both floors and re-oil with boiled linseed oil.
Have you any suggestions for removing the old oil finish pleses?
