They were installed 60years ago and treated externally with unboiled linseed ol. Over the years this has blackened or browned into an ugly mess which is very difficult to remove. I would like to strip all windows on both floors and re-oil with boiled linseed oil. Have you any suggestions for removing the old oil finish pleses?
