Old English is essentially mineral oil with a scent and sometimes a tint added. It will not benefit your furniture in any way and the only harm it will do is it will attract dust. Since it does not dry, over time it will build up dirt. This can be removed with Wood Elixir. A very light application of Wood Elixir every 6-12 months and intermitant cleaning with a damp cloth is all that's required. --Previous Message-- : I have a Pennsylvania House cherry dresser that : is about 27 years old. Or, is it : Old English build-up? : In any case, do you have any ideas how I can : improve the appearance of the finish of : the top of my dresser? : Thank you for your time and attention to my : problem. :
