    Un-warping A Warp.

Here's an easy way to correct warps. On a day that is anticipated to be warm and sunny, get up early and take the table top outside. Place it concave side down (hump side up) on a patch of grass where the dew has not yet evaporated. When the sun hits it, it will start to flatten out. When it is flat, seal the unfinished underside of the table with a coat of shellac.

: I have an antique very old side table (small in
: size). The top is three leaf clover shaped
: and made of oak. The three legs slide into
: slits in the top and are anchored with a
: lower shelf that holds the legs together.
: The TOP has warped a little and I would
: like to know if there is any way to
: flatten it again slowly. Would setting a
: large heavy dictionary or two on it and
: leaving it for a month or more help??? I
: have it taken apart. Thank you!
