"Bald" spot on antique Posted by Nancy on 8/20/2001, 5:32 pm 65.208.3.130 Hi, Dr. Woodwell: I have an antique, mirrored, (what has always been called a) buffet. It has a bald spot (naked wood) right in the middle because, years ago, I let a tomato from my garden rot there (aaarrrrggghh) and the acid ate away the finish. Anyway, is there some way to fill in that small area -- will a colored wax do it? -- without stripping the whole top? Thanks!
