Wood Elixir enlivens the existing finish, which should make it possible to remove the stuck felt. Wood Elixir can also be used to remove adhesive residue, labels, paint splatters, etc. working on the same principle. If the finish is not a high-gloss polish, you may also use 0000 (extra-fine finishing grade) steel wool, rubbing *lightly* with the grain, if wiping with a cloth does not work at first. By restoring the original finish, you can likely avoid the mess and expense of refinishing.

Russ

: The felt backed tablecloth I had on my maple table "stuck" to the table. How do I remove the remaining felt and refinish the top?
