help,nail polish remover on my wood table

I spilled nail polish remover on my wood table, I put water on it right away but now there is a medium size spot(weird shape)that looks sticky (its not sticky it just looks sticky like I didnt wash something off) any help would be great I have the table only two weeks and its in a place that I cant hide it thanks in advance to any one that might be able to help me :)
