I am in the process of restoring an antique high chair and all is going well except that I cannot figure out how the leather strap that goes from the tray to under the seat, attaches. I can see under the seat and screw hole where I could fasten a nice leather strap, but there is nothing on the tray any where. How did they keep the baby from falling out?
