Use a damp towel and steam iron and steam the veneer off. Placing the towel on the surface and ironing it. (don't get the iron too hot and burn or scorch your wood.)
As far as the replacement veneer if you like the other wood why not leave it? If not you can put new on.
: I have buffet that has veneer on the top, most of it peeled off and I am trying to get the rest off, I need some hints to get the rest off. Also the drawers had veneer on them and they also peeled. The wood underneath is good. Do I have to reveneer it?
