I am adding wood floors to our newer home, and the staircase is oak and has never been stained, but has a finish on it. I want to put a stain on the floors and I want to stain the staircase to match. I think it has a polyurethane finish on it. Would this product work? I just had an estimate for 1650.00 to refinish the banisters. Of course, he would also match the stain perfectly. I would much rather do it myself. Help!
