I used a Murphy's Oil wipe to try and clean a mark, left by the sticky backing of a mouse pad, on my bedroom desk. It is a burl (ash or maple) veneer trimmed in cordovan (looks like black laquer to me). The sticky backing mark didn't come off and the black laquer is now dull.
How can I fix this. I read in one of your emails that I might try a hard car wax on the black laquer. Is this correct? Will your product clean off the sticky backing mark? I have tried many other products.
