The use of Pledge will eventually ruin any finish. Briwax products will not remove the silicon residue. Howard "restore-a-finish" is a surface treatment and colorant which also will not solve your problem. The foggyness is probably still there under these other treatments. This sounds like a good challenge for Wood Elixir to remove all of these materials and get through to the original finish to restore and strengthen it. It's certainly worth a try. There is nothing else on the market that will help. It will take more than one treatment but do light treatments not heavy.
