Help! My son was building a model on my cherry wood dining room table and spilled a bottle of plastic cement (the glue used in modeling.) Yes, I know it was a bad idea -- and now my table has a damaged area of about 3 inches diameter. The surface is rough and bubbled and the finish is worn away in patches.
The table is about 11 years old and, except for minor scratches, was in great shape. The rest of the table top is still in good condition -- but is there anything I can do to restore this unsightly patch? Do I settle for tablecloths from now on?
Thanks for any advice!
