First of all, you mention heat damage which usually is not reversable. Also you mention soot which is a serious cleaning job which can be done with Wood Elixir. The soot from smoke contains oils which can be removed with Wood Elixir. It's unfortunate that you used TSP which is a paint remover, albeit a mild one. As far as the smell is concerned, you can remove at least some of it with Wood Elixir, but I have not tried it on such serious damage. I have used an Ozone machine to remove obnoxious smells from even fabric. These machines are available in many sizes and are used by companies such as Srvice Master to rid homes of smoke smell after a fire.
