Old finish Posted by Al on 12/12/2002, 9:41 am 65.165.34.2 I have a bedroom set that dates back to the late 1800s. It is solid black walnut with a mahogany finish and either varnish or lacquar on it. The problem is that the finish is so old that if you rest you hand on it for a while the sticky residue comes off on your hand. Will your product renew this bedroom set or do I have to strip it?
