Depending on conditions, it can take up to 24 hours for Wood Elixir to cure to a hard buffable surface. If after buffing, a higher sheen is desired, then a second light treatment of Wood Elixir can be applied. Again, wipe dry and wait 24 hrs to cure then buff. This process can be repeated endlessly to build up the finish to replicate a hand rubbed French Polish finish. Do not set anything on it during the curing process.
