I have your product and have used it with a great deal of satisfaction on some very "dirty and dried" surfaces, but I have an antique clock case that has a some mildew in the inside of the case and I would like to apply wood elixir to it,BUT I may not be able to wipe it all clean due to almost inaccesible areas (small brush use)...What will happen if your product is left on a surface (open grain) and is relatively untouched?

    Thanks,

    Bruce
