    That's right. Oak is one of the woods most susseptable to water damage and one of the most resistant to treatment, but it can be done. Use oxalic acid which is available at hardware or woodworking stores. You must remove any finish over the area to be treated and it might require more than one treatment with the bleach to do the job.
