--Previous Message-- : I just rented a house that has knotty : (sp?)-wood pine kitchen cabinets. Oh, : were they gross! So much grease and grime : build up from over several years, I'm : sure. A friend said to spray a degreaser : on the cabinets and let it stand. : Needless to say, on the crown molding and : on certain parts of the doors (luckily : this was just one section of the kitchen : cabinets)went from gross to "Oh my, : did I do that?"! It looks as though : I stripped away the finish. (In fact, I : noticed a picture on your site that looks : like what I did; but I can't recall what : description it fell under) I tried Old : English scratch cover-up; but all this did : was make it look darker than the rest of : the cabinets. Like I said, I'm renting : the house and scared to death the landlord : will see this! I'm in no way anyone's : "I can take that piece of furniture : and make it new again!"
