    Boy, am I in trouble!

I just rented a house that has knotty (sp?)-wood pine kitchen cabinets. Oh, were they gross! So much grease and grime build up from over several years, I'm sure. A friend said to spray a degreaser on the cabinets and let it stand. Needless to say, on the crown molding and on certain parts of the doors (luckily this was just one section of the kitchen cabinets)went from gross to "Oh my, did I do that?"! It looks as though I stripped away the finish. (In fact, I noticed a picture on your site that looks like what I did; but I can't recall what description it fell under) I tried Old English scratch cover-up; but all this did was make it look darker than the rest of the cabinets. Like I said, I'm renting the house and scared to death the landlord will see this! I'm in no way anyone's "I can take that piece of furniture and make it new again!" Please help! I have to repair this fast!

    Thanks!
