Sorry Linda, I was away and I think your message is in cyberspace. Ultra-violet rays will bleach out some pigments in tinted finishes. Since the color is in the finish and not in the wood, the only way to repair this without refinishing is to add color just where it is missing. This can be done with a product called "Ultra Classic Toner" made by Mohawk in Detroit. The idea is to spray a tinted transparent finish of the correct color just on the area where the finish has lightened. This is not a job for a novice but results can be excellent if you practice first.
--Previous Message-- : Last week I posted a question to the board : asking if you thought Wood Elixer would : remove what I think are sun spots on my : daughter's oak table (I can see where : three placemats were kept on it.) My : posting was not answered and now it is : removed from the list. What's wrong? I : have already purchaced your Elixer, but, : if you think I really need to have it : refinished, I will. I have lots of other : smaller projects to use you Elixer on. : Thank you very much. Linda : :
