    Yes. The first step is to clean and restore the original finish with Wood Elixir applied with steel wool following bottle directions. It can be now be darkened and tinted with a spray tone lacquer. One product for this purpose is called "Ultra Classic Toner" and is made by Mohawk Finishing Products in Amsterdam NY. This is a professional product, available in a variety of wood tones and used by furniture manufacturers and retailers.
