    Refinishing Pine Chest of Drawers

I had a pine chest of drawers professionally stripped. I want to finish the piece in a warm honey but natural finish that has a little white (pickling?)left in cracks and crevices. I was told to put some kind of sealer on first, then apply a pickling glaze (is that the same as a pickling stain?) and wipe off. Could you give me a little more detail on this process? For example should I put a natural pine stain on before a sealer? Thanks.
