    I'll assume that since you're talking about 'matching color, that the worn areas are lighter than the rest of the finish. This means that the color is in the finish which is probably lacquer. The only way to match the color and gain good results is to have it refinished. Spot restoration can be done but the repaired areas will always be visible.
