    Sorry Dee, I don't know how I missed you. The problem you describe is typical of furniture imported from Mexico or the Orient. The problem is the moisture content of the wood. The reason it has cracked and warped is that the wood was not properly dried in the first place. This damage, although somewhat repairable, is not reversible and will progress.
