I cannot keep him from sleeping up there, but I will be getting a glass top, cut to fit the table. Until then, I REALLY need direction into taking off these scratch marks. I have felt with my own nail and they are "indented" he has taken the first layer off. It is dark wood, and the scratches are lighter than the wood. It is a laquer based top.
