    Blonde furniture from the 50's

I have a bedroom suite (50's era)that belonged to my grandmother. It is very heavy, extremely well made furniture and I would love to get it out of the attic and use it. The problem is it has yellowed over the years and I just hate the finish that is on it, which is why it is in the attic. I would love to use this furniture but don't know what to do with it. It is a blonde color with a very shiny finish on it. Do you have any suggestions on changing the color that wouldn't take months to do.
