    My Grandmas Painted desk

I inherited Grandmas beautiful little desk and chair, both painted. The top has a meeting of a boy and girl and the sides of the desk are painted too. The chair is delicate and the back and seat are handpainted. Brass beading and brass corners adorn the desk top. The desk top is lifted up. The interior desk is plain except for letter, stationery stalls. The family believes the two items (a pair) were purchased at the turn of the 20th century or before. My grandma was born in 1884. The set is delicate, the seat is round, and all the legs are delicated fluted. Any ideas where I can find more info? I can take a picture if requested.
