red candle wax stain on oak coffee table

Upon removal of my christmas decorations, I found that the large red candle I had on my coffee table (I never lit the candle either) left a red dye transfer stain on my oak table. It's in a large circle shape and I've tried scraping to see if the wax would come off, but it appears it's more a color transfer than a wax deposit.

Is there any way beside refinishing my table to remove this stain????

    Thanks in advance,
    Lisa
