I think what this person is getting at is the same problem you get when you try to finish a piece of wood that is say cleaned with endust, pledge, and other products such as these that contain certain chemicals that cause what we call in the finishing industry to fisheye and what that means is when you apply a NEW finish to these pieces they will cause the finish to pull away from the wood in certain areas making rings much like the oposite effect of adding wax to your car finish that makes water bead up this does somewhat the same thing but instead of beading up it causes rings in the new finish there are products that fix this if you catch it soon enough retarders and fisheye flow out that can be added to speficic finishes before application. I am wondering the same thing I work in the furniture repair industry, and what happens if you have to refinish the piece after using this product say because of a bad scratch not just a surface scratch. Pledge is one of the worst products to make a new wood finish fisheye it's widely used and if you ever have to have it refinished it's a real pain. Don't get me wrong I'm not even trying to imply that this product compares to pledge or anything of that nature that was just an example. If I could remember the specific ingrediant that causes this I would say it but it seems to have slipped my mind.
