Your problem is not to do with wax, it is to do with moisture trapped in the finish. In this instance, the finish is either lacquer or shellac and both cases can be solved with WOOD ELIXIR. Wood Elixir will remove any old wax and leave a buffable membrane of protection. Further polishing is not necessary unless you want a higher gloss which will require the application of wax. There is no such thing as a good polish that does not contain wax.
