i have been having alot of vandalism going on.some of it to furniture.i had noticed for a while some extensive damage to the top of an antique butterchurn.it looks as though some type of liquid was poured on it.you can see the rings on it.then i noticed the wood looks as though its slowly decomposing, crumbling.is there anything i can do to get it off the wood?i've started noticing it on other pieces of furniture and can you tell me what can do this? it is more than just dry or cracked furniture. it's as though it is dissolving.i know it's connected to the vandalism because there are too many other acts of vandalism going on. i believe it's some kind of chemical.i woke one morning to find a coat of oily substance on everything. i believe it was regular furniture oil with this chemical substance in it.after that i noticed the grain was raised and splitting in places. the same way the churn started out without the oil.there are also scratches and dents on things as a result of the vavdalism.
