Hi Sandi, I didn't mean to imply that a temperature differential was required to produce white water marks, it just accelerates the process. As far as the eraser is concerned, in many cases this will work. But, as with any abrasive no matter how mild, what is happening is that the offending finish is being removed. The difference with Wood Elixir is that it is formulated to release the 'trapped' moisture and in most cases, this happens without abrading the surface. Even in cases where a mild abrasive such as 0000 steel wool is required, when done with Wood Elixir, the finish is being resurfaced at the same time. This is not true of any of the usual home remedies, i.e. toothpaste, cigarette ash, baking soda, etc. Wood Elixir is manufactured and sold only in Ontario Canada. This limitation is not my intention it's just a function of money. To do business nationally in Canada, I must do everything in two languages, French & English. Also, when you have only one SKU or product, the chains are not anxious to talk to you. I'm actively seeking a US distributor and there are several companies wanting to produce a television infomercial but again, it's only money. Many of my clients are wood working professionals, conservators or antique dealers all of which are repeat customers and several have totally reoriented their approach to restoration based on the use of Wood Elixir. What follows is a partial list of uses for Wood Elixir. I'm finding more everyday.
