    I use dentists tools. For a professional job, you must first remove the window by removing the wood trim which holds it in place. This will expose some of the area that you want to treat. Gel strippers tend to be not as strong but will still do the job. Soak the crevasses with stripper and scrape the paint out with pointed tools. Now you are ready to sand.
