Stripping coffee table Posted by Charlotte on 6/3/2001, 11:01 am 63.94.136.85 I have an old coffee table which I have stripped. I believe it is maple and I want to stain it an oak color. Some of the wood is very dark. My question is, can I bleach it to get rid of the dark,and how do I bleach it, and then can I use a minwax stain over that? I would appreciate your help. Thank you.
